Hello knitters! Lots going on at the N.L. Mimi is putting the final touches on the afghan that is going to be raffled off at the Women's Four Miler. Here it is a few days ago in the shop and when it's complete, we'll get pictures on here for you.

Tickets for the raffle cost $5 and they will be on sale at the Four Miler registration and the day of at Foxfields. The proceeds go to the UVA Cancer Center Breast Care Program. We're really excited to have completed this project and for such a good cause. Thank you to all of you who knitted a square!
Our BIG news is that Nora Bellows, the creator of Noni, is coming to the shop to teach a workshop! Check out her website to see her incredible designs.
When: Friday, September 12 4-7 pm
Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 10-4
What: a workshop on designing and creating your own "NONI" knitted and felted bag.
Wine and cheese reception on Friday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday will be provided.
Cost: $250 per person- call the shop at 434-296-4625 to register. This will fill up quickly!
The NONI Felted bag Trunk show will be in the shop from August 29 through Sept. 14, followed by a NONI garment trunk show which will be in the shop and also featured in the 3rd annual downtown mall fashion show on Sept. 20.
